Ive paid good money for a minibus 8+1 MPV, in the age range to plate PH, its got all the toys, luxury trim, belts, aircon, etc, etc, etc....

i just saw a school bus pulling into the local high school. pre-war model i think, which war? well, its log book must be in latin, what a joke.

if i had a CPC (or employed a holder) and an o-licence i could avoid all the hassles of petty local council bureaucracy, bought a tacho'd 15 seater (cheaper than the tourneo) and been trading faster

i did start the cpc course but let it slide when the trade dropped off.

why cant PH+hackney come under VOSA regs+rules, just like it looks sub-3500kg van ops will do before long.

this would also include tests at an independent HGV test station, so no variables there!

I would sooner all under 9 seats came under taxi/PH regs.

You must be joking, there is nothing consistent about HGV testing stations

what i meant was HGV stations have no interest in passing/failing with regards to the chance of charging for repairs, unlike certain test stations, like one used by a LA when i was plated before, they had tendered low to get 200 test a year (400 with the 2 tests a year) then always failed us and wanted to do the work, never big jobs or complicated, i.e. emissions on a carb/petrol engine but never an injection or tdi "we can set that up for £30" or a wiper blade - £15 fitted.....

at least dick turpin wore a mask...

and be stuck with widely varied local council regs and rules and officers who either havent a clue or want to rule the world?

with badge+plate charges which vary depending which borough or district you live in, and when 1 area accepts only 2 years old vehicles when next door takes smiley transit minibuses?

ive just paid £115 for a medical, whose paid less, whose paid more?....

stupid
we all pay the same road tax dont we? (subject to vehicle class)
