these cases where LO's have nicked a PH (or HC out of own area?) taking a hail/flag down?....


erm, how did they know where to wait for a vehicle to appear?

i could wait on some street corners till hell freezes over and never see a PH or out of town hack dropping off...



(please note, i do not make a habit of frequenting street corners)

The LOs should know where in their area illegal plying for hire is most prevelant.

Then, just like fishing, you wait for a bite....

Our LO works just 16 hours a week and covers 4 towns so there is no chance of him catching the Peterborough PH's picking up fares in town !

He thinks that he can do his job from the CCTV control centre

anyway, a PH O/driver only needs to TAKE the booking, then take the passenger to comply surely?

I dropped off in the City Centre one night in an area where most of the drinking clientele have broken noses,are wearing vest tops and are covered from head to foot in tattoos,(and that's just the women!!!!) A lady in an old-fashioned coat with a fur collar, ( coats are taboo in Newcastle)approached my vehicle and said, "Are you allowed to pick me up?" I said, "no pet, but nice try, give my regards to Newcastle Licensing and tell your mates there are Berwick plated cars hacking the bollocks off the Pizza Hut round the corner",

so all i need to look for is fat ferkers in nice clothes, with a clipboard?
