Is it just me or is there an element of bitchiness and moaning regarding the folk you share your taxi shifts with, or the bosses you drive for (owners).

First complaints i had was that the weigh -ins werent paid on time, despite the fact that the day wasnt mentioned lol, only that it had to be paid in that week. Simple enough then.

THEN, the cab isnt being washed and is always dirty, SO i start washing it every day.

THEN, the deisal is never topped up properly, so i start to produce a reciept every day after my shift.

Then- and this may be the last straw for me, i bring the cab back late when the boss is on his shifts which he does when the day shifter is away or off work, despite never being told anyone other then me and a dayshifter is on thecab and that my finish time is 6 am.

Also there is a nasty habit of leaving written messages or notes on the dash either complaining about something or one thing or another . Now excuse my being a greenhorn in this trade, but is this attitude common within the uk hackney trade. I can swaer these taxi owners drivers bitch more than women and i thought they were bad lol.

speaking as an ex-employer (with 2 paye courier drivers in vans, and also hackney drivers having paid for badges) it can be a good release of steam to rip into em now and then.....

Some are moaning faced gits, others are not.
Either let it go over the top of your head or get another drive.

Or spend all that dough your handing over on your own cab.

Oh yes.

Usually it's fuel levels, followed by not bringing the car back on time and/or not saying if they don't need the car.

Wow this is an eye opener. I thought only PH got moaned at by faceless people at the other end of the phone whinging for money and threatening to F9 me, like I care.

Some people just need to have something to moan about and there is always the option of buying and plating your own cab then you could rent it out for half a day.......

That is all quite normal.... and you'll find more... but you will learn... clarify the terms of your rental when you start, in black-and-white...
