John, you would be advised to research the 'Visa debit' angle before contacting Lloyds. They are the ones to lose out, potentially; They may be a little economical with your true legal position.

You had the vehicle in your possession once and sent it back..... you then took possession the second time and signed for it........ I would be very careful..... somebody might say that you knew there had been a mistake regarding the mileage......

No never the case, as soon as I approached the vehicle I told him it was wrong 1) the front bonnet was the wrong colour ( White for Cardiff) 2) only six seats instead of seven, I never sat in the car or started it up, or for that matter entered it.

Ive had a few hire cars for non fault accidents, I ALWAYS get the hire firm to allow me to have the hire car for 1 week after the cheque has cleared so I can get another car.
I tell them that if they don't i'll use another firm, they always say yes because they earn a fortune out of the hire car anyway.

you may have consumer protection via your card, this used to be credit cards only but i think visa debits have it too now.

at the end of the day it wasnt as described.

Thank you for your help as well - I would reply to your humour ones but it is not on the menu today.
