I know of a case were a hackney owner who had a few hackneys, and was taking one for testing, the council tryed to say the he could not drive as he did not hold a hackney drivers licnce.

it whent to appeal to crown court and they wone dose any one know were i can get that case from. thank you

The only folks allowed to drive hackneys are hackney drivers licensed in the same area as the vehicle. Other than mechanics when road testing.

This is one of the two landmark cases, and refers to the other.

Can't really improve on what sussex offered up.

I would forget about crown court decisions if I were you and concentrate on high court judgments.
