Up here it's £265 for a Mondeo Saloon, thats with no train or bus station no decent pubs and no weekend trade to earn your money from, fares are low and the customers still try to haggle the price with you.

FFS buy your own, you can get a brand new Skoda for £200 less a week thats with insurance, and I think the mondeo is around £65 per week

With all due respect Skippy not everybody can get credit, especially now, you've got more chance of a visit from the pope

I'm good for credit, I always keep my Experian Credit report on file and upto date, for £6 a month you can't go wrong.

Why pay £6 per month when you can get it for free when you want/need it? I have just cancelled my membership on the advice of Martin Lewis.

It's always handy if you need it in a hurry, as for Martin Lewis he told everyone not to change their energy suppliers because they'll be paying more if they changed. I've just swapped from British Gas to Atlantic Gas and Electric, with BG I was paying £100 a month for gas and £50 a month for electric, the whole lot with Atlantic is costing me £92 a month for both. Marin Lewis didn't come up trumps on that one did he?? :D

As with any advice for people like Martin Lewis it is the long term position that counts and I doubt that even you could critisize his success over the years.

JD. firstly I said where I am... which is Sefton.... I know many Liverpool drivers paying £240 a week longer collar..... the initial question is to show that there has to be a balance

It is a good point but I think it will greatly assist Gusmac in his argument that vehicle rental in many restricted areas have an added element of cost simply because of quantity controls. That might not be the case in Sefton and possibly some other areas but I think if we all are all true to ourselves then most will probably agree that in many cases there is an added cost to vehicle rental in many areas simply because of the restriction factor.

I think we can agree that prices are different in different areas... that is obvious and logical..... to some of us... it's a pity that other people cannot see past their nose. you know I have said that the only people allowed to drive Licence vehicles are licensed drivers, so why don't they have the balls to stand up for themselves.... and negotiate a realistic rental.

Because they know the owner would simply bin any driver who wasn't prepared to pay their asking price. There are always others who will.
Restricted plate supply and abundance of drivers gives the plate owners the advantage. I'm sure you knew that already.
So we come to the truth.... you haven't got the balls to stick together.....

This trade rarely ever sticks together for their own common good.
There are too many who will put their own short sighted interests first. A fact which your kind often use to your advantage.
This isn't a principled trade - your very existence is testement to that.

BTW Who's this "you" that you refer to? Certainly not me.
I'd leave this trade long before I ever give my hard earned wedge to a parasite like you.
Your kind are as important to this trade as crabs are to a dockside Lady of the Night.
An unpleasant occupational hazzard.
Bollocks that is if you know what they are
