What will let the london ones down is the rear wheel steer.

It would be interesting to see how many drivers in London actually use that, and how many just keep it on normal 100% of the time.

And when it siezes up, and will not work, how will it pass it's inspection?

Using it once a week to park in asda will make sure that doesn't happen

It only works at speeds of 5mph or less and not in reverse.

Think Sussex is right. Nobody will ever use it in 'combat' but it will go wrong. I believe M&O have got one in and one of the rear wheels is facing North and the other is facing North by North East. It would be interesting to take it into a Merc dealer for diagnosis

i've been in a couple of them now and spoken to the drivers. Both seem happy with it and find it isn't really a problem using the rear wheel steer though do both admit it's not as good as the conventional turning circle.

I guess ultimately time will tell how reliable it is and how resilient it turns out to be regards everyday usage over a long period of time..........i'm tempted to buy one myself but need to see how they are performing after say 50 or 60k. The drivers i've spoken to prefer the vehicle to the TX4 and say how much better it is as a work vehicle but have only done around 15000 miles so far.

time does tell my tx4 has done 140k miles and its a bag of shekt its never out the garage i have a list of lost shifts as long as my arm..from time to time my mind changes if i get a good month out it.i look at it and say they are the best for the taxi for the job then its in the main dealers 4 times in the last week and i start looking at the mercedes.
