today road work contractors was given permission to park on Duncombe Place taxi rank in York and was issued with parking permits to display in their vehicle windows
along came the traffic wardens booking private vehicles on the other side of the road
the rank was only room for a couple of taxis
one driver approached the traffic parking people and was told, sorry cant do nowt about it they got Council permission to park on rank
one phone call to Enforcement Officer, who came down and shifted the lot
