I spoke to the council this week and asked this question.
I only claimed for the morning of the Wednesday(100%) when the closure was announced 15 minutes after my start time.I was told that I am entitled to 100% in the morning and 50% in the afternoon. That's 75% of the day's rate for anyone that's struggling
I could technically have claimed for the Friday as the school informed me at 10 am (less than 24 hrs notice)on the Thursday but didn't.
My mate claims 100% and gets paid anyway so it makes you wonder!

Just can't work out why this country is going to borrow £143,000,000,000 this year.
