If you are being technical about it, in Scotland a taxi picks up unbooked hires from a public place.
Anyone doing this (including a PH) is acting as a taxi and needs a taxi licence.
No taxi licence? Unlicenced taxi.

PH pick up booked hires, as can taxis.
Doing so without a PH or taxi licence?
Unlicensed PH (since it's technically PH work)

More than 8 passengers and it's bus work.
Ask VOSA about that one :lol:

Not true.........you can do all the above and be legal...its only Illegal if its for Hire or reward.
