No i do not think so in a recent poll 46% of Scots said they would vote for independence in a referendum if it was a Tory government.In another poll only 33% said they would vote for independence if there was a labour government.

In saying that Margaret thatcher crucified us so i am not looking forward to a Tory government. :sad:

Was that poll taken at the SNP conference...cos Ive never heard any real folk taking the same view... :-k

The Labour Government used Scotland as a test area for the Smoking ban didnt it?

TBH you should be thankful I'm not in charge.....I'd carry out nuclear testing there.

There is a school of thought amongst some politicians that the country as a whole voted for an indecisive outcome to the General Election & that the government we now have was the best that could be salvaged from the final make-up of the MPs we now have in Parliament.

So it's all our fault for voting in a way that resulted in the electorate sending a message to all MPs that basically said, 'You're all a bunch of t*ssers & we don't like or trust any of you!'

So now we have a coalition government, led by;

The Two Cs

How about this for a radical thought. Why didn't the 2 parties with the most seats form a coallision? After all the vast majority of the population voted for them.

the voters indecision is simply a symptom of all parties and mps/candidates being loathed, almost equally

plus the useless voting system we have in place

being an MP should be a 5 year job, applicants should apply to a body of selectors*, they should be PAYE and not have access to (it seems) unlimited expenses), the wage should be £65K a year (fixed), offices and staff should be supplied by a higher authority

* like a parole board, only harsher
