 Post subject: hello from a newbie

not sure if this is the right place or not!
just starting down the road off taxing...waiting on the crb check to come back. been offerd work as a ph or hackney depends on if the la is handing hackney licenses out atm.. thing is the company i have been offerd work with will own the car blah blah an will take 50% off my takings for the car radio meter insurance, but i'll pay for fuel cost's does this sound right?

No! They should pay everything on a 50% split, but its their offer and its yours to accept...or not!

all there cars a lpg an they got the filling station on site so its only 35p a liter

If you are driving someone else's vehicle then best go for a hackney. Especially if you are feeling your way into this great trade of ours.

The council aren't allowed to restrict driver's licenses, so if you pass the criteria you will get a badge.

And 50/50 is ok for starters but you shouldn't be paying for the fuel. Tell them to stick it up their ar** and find another drive.

Where the hell are they getting their LPG from? I have my own bulk tank and I can't get it at anywhere near that price.

In Yarmouth they have got all the gas fields in the sea. It might be the reason for the cheap gas prices.

just been back to the office the gas to the public is 70p per liter so they knocking 50% off for there drivers

50% off is good but not as good as 100% because they should be paying it :wink:
