I wonder if it is a coincidence that she has joined the "27" club?

Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and others all died at that age, didn't they?

And all of them had many people around them that were content to let it all happen, or maybe too stoned to do anything about it.

What a waste.

Well, to be fair, they did try to make her go to rehab, but she said No, no, no.

its annoying that someone with a god-given talent was so keen to become another celebrity statistic, olly reed, george best, alex higgins, jimi hendrix, freddy mercury, etc, etc, etc, while the rest of us strugle to cope day to day with mind-numbing reality

Of course I am sorry for the loss her family have suffered. But she was in the public eye through choice.

She could have stopped - she didn't. She even made a pile out of a song where she rejected "Rehab". People would have assisted her all they could but she threw it back in their faces.

I must admit I did not like any of her music - not my thing. But as a roll model she did not have a thing to recommend her, with possibly the exception of her early demise being a deterrent.

I am sorry for the family, I pray for them, I pray for her.

But I am not anti "Black Humour" either.

You have to live it to understand it, and by the time you understand it, you really wish you haven't lived it.
