It's well known that the disabled card is being used to shy away from work by people who are milking the system.

A guy I know had an accident at work 5 months ago, he's waiting to go into hospital for a spinal fusion, he's been living on £50 a week for the last 16 weeks.

He's been told he's fit for work even though he's in a wheelchair and wearing a spinal brace which goes from the bottom of his back upto the bottom of his neck and the same at the front of his body.

He's never claimed a penny in his life in benefits, he's always worked for a living along wih his wife who along with he husband Ivan have bought 3 children into the world while working.

The system needs a major overhaul and the place to catch these scumbags who fleece the system is in Wetherspoons in any town in the UK.

If you take everything to the Nth degree, most people will be considered "fit for work". It may not be the work that you would normally do but that is something else that needs to be addressed. For instance someone in a wheelchair can still probably do office work or call centre work. maybe not what they would want if they have spent the past 20 years as a lorry driver. But they are still able to work.
