Deep-fried heaven in Glasgow

Image

There's no escaping the fact that the combination of soft, gooey, chocolatey caramel and savoury, crisp exterior of Glasgow's deep-fried Mars bar is horribly compelling. Kings Cafe, off Sauchiehall Street, is a proud purveyor - though for a negotiated fee, takeaways throughout the city will usually deep-fry any confectionery you like.

Kings Cafe, 71 Elmbank St, Glasgow T0141/332 3247; Pizza Crolla, 156 Buchanan St, Glasgow T0141/333 0016; Glasgow Royal Infirmary, 84 Castle St T0141/211 4000

I'm usually game for most foods but it's not something I tried last time I was there and I don't think I'll try it next time I'm there either

It has never been disproven either. Only one person who was elegedly involved has ever denied that it took place.
