i think i remember seeing a list on this site somewhere about councils and police letting ph vehicles use bus and taxi lanes only anyone know where i can find it

I think that would be useful if it was 'sticky' because then it's easy to find and come back to. I can't even remember the topic being discussed when it was put on view

cant remember, but it was a list of local authorities and police and it had the answer like yes and no, or no and no or yes and yes, well something like that anyway

Depends who controls the road.

Up here it's the Scottish Executive for trunk roads (Motorways and some A roads)
Local council for the rest.
Never the police. They only enforce the law, not make it.

If the local council is an unitary one then it's them, if not it could be the county council.

But the folks controlling bus lanes are the bus companies.
