American born, brought up in Ireland became a naturalised German and yet he was hung for an offence I thought was against one's own country or sovereign. So how did they make a charge of treason stick in a court of law in the UK?

William Joyce was an American born Irishman. The charge of treason was incompetent and the verdict a mockery.
His execution was political expedience at it's worst.
