I wanted to know how much it will cost to put a 2.7 tx1 nissan engine into my tx2 as I hear they are a lot quieter an that's the reason I was looking for a new vehicle as the tx2 was too loud and always was giving me problems so today I heard that instead of a new vehicle just convert mine with a tx1 engine so any advice on how much it would cost if there is a difference in both engines and if anyone has done this conversion if they have benifited from it.

Quite a few companys do this conversion,a few on ebay i think. But its not as straightforward as dropping it in.Youd have to make sure your licensing/council would accept it.

But the newest TX1 Nissan 2.7 engine must be pushing 11 years, plus for the average cab 500'000 miles?

Think I'd rather buy a new motor.

The Nissan Cabstar truck had the same engine, but I don't know when they stopped production of that batch with the 2.7?
