Mr T if only the world was so simple , I have four kids to suport i am afraid to admit, i am on tax credit . If i opened my mouth, i would be out of a job . As you can see from my posts, i am not that bright , taxi driving is all i know . My kids would suffer . Tommy i am afraid , has sat around the table with fleet owners so long, he has become a parasite, derived from the word par-a- sit one who habitually ate at the table of another repaying him with flattery . a hanger on a toady .
STREETCAR... Do not put youself down, tax credit, at least you have managed to get something out of this government, I never have it's always been a one way st heading towards them.
I have stood alonside of tommy on a lot of issues , he does what his membership tell him to do,he has been in the game as long as me maybe longer,if his membership where to tell him to go for derestriction he would "I believe this"
the fleets have been pushing for a fair rise and he is saying no, it is not easy for him,you do not see what goes on,
I have no answers for you as what to do,I think that a new page will be turned, what will happen then I do not know,I do know that last time L'pool dereg , the drivers where the first to suffer,I know I was one .
I will try to explain something to you, gawith along time ago had 100 cab & plates, the plates were worth 1000 each, 25 years on they are worth 40,000 each, for 25 years he has made a living out of them, the PROFIT has already been made if his plates go they go,same with the rest of the fleets, the ones that will suffer will be the ordinary bloke that has put his house up against a loan to buy a cab and plate .
The only way for you to come out on top is to sit down and work out what you pay out, and then what hours you have to do to make it and a bit more, get a T.X.1 makes the job a bit easter you can work longer and not be knackered....good luck..mr T..
