It seems to me that you are determined to do this job and hats off to you for that. As suggested try it first to see if it suits you and don't forget to put at least one day to the side for your family. If your income doesn't turn out that great you may well still be able to claim housing benefit if you rent, child tax allowance and working tax allowance as they are currently, I think they'll be changing to universal credits in the very near future if they haven't already done so, but, make sure you get what you're entitled to. Once you get used to it you will be able to pick the best hours to work, assuming you have an open shift system at the place you go. Also if you get your operators licence you will be able to take your own bookings as well and source your own school run without having to give a % to the circuit you're on.

Good luck anyway :D

ya cos married with 2 kids plus rent and poll tax paid will only be better off by a few quid but self respect is priceless to me

Best of luck to you son, but with the hours we have to work not many marriages can stand it....you will always be chasing work at the prime times your missus and kids need you the most...or with little sleep will not be the ideal companion.

The above is correct. I've gone through two marriages due to the job but, I love the job more than I did my ex wives. :D

ah cheers m8 yes we get CHB now and would apply for the other as well so that would be on top of my wage

child tax credits every mum gets, the working tax portion of it is only for low earners in work, so you will be earning too much on your £400+ a week...........
