Alex
I'm a Producer on a BBC programme called Caught Red Handed. We highlight cases where CCTV has been used to bring criminals to justice, either by the police, or private individuals.
I understand many are calling for CCTV to be installed in taxis as much as possible, to protect the drivers. I've seen some footage online where there have been some quite horrific attacks on drivers, and it's certainly looking as though the footage is doing its job.
Would you be able to give me a call to discuss this further? In an ideal world we'd like to feature an incident where someone was caught on camera and prosecuted as a result.
What we'd be looking for is ideally someone who would be willing to talk about an incident - either an attack or robbery that's been caught on camera and has led to a conviction. The one I came across involved a taxi driver called Leigh Curtis, and I think the attack was in Hastings, but we haven't found any contact details for him.
If you would be able to put us in touch with Leigh or someone else who's been through a similar incident, that would be brilliant.
You can contact me on either of the numbers below - my mobile is probably best as you'll get straight to me.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Best wishes,
Jayne Whitelock
