where I am on Romney Marsh most trips round here are minimum 3 miles out and back, so a fiver min is what we charge, otherwise it's not worth putting my shoes on to go out for.

6 of us did 70 miles in the dead of night in a taxi in China not so long ago, cost us £12. I understand why the price is so different, but that doesn't make me want to be a cabbie any less. Christ, I could drive my usual daily commute to work and make a weeks salary out of it.
