Once saw a neighbour being arrested, cuffs going on while he was on the floor and his mate trying to interfere (both were well know trouble and drunk or stoned) and one copper clearly said to the mate "get away or else", 2 minutes later the copper landed a perfect right hook on the guys nose and he was hopping round shouting "hes broke my nose", oddly no-one came forward as a witness to any assault by the copper...

1. I saw an event just like Grandad - however I knew the circumstances

2. Cops are losing the fight to secure the street

3. The miscreant with the headache wouldnt misbehave if he was in Spain*, ive seen how Spanish cops keep order...and it works

*or many other countries around the world

Punishment is the role of the courts. Summary punishment by police officers is illegal.

Works well in other countries.

So does Sharia law. Do you advocate that too?

Would you say the same if it was one of your family members ? Why not go back to the good old days where the police gave you a good kicking, whoops sorry they still do.How many deaths in custody and how many prosecutions ?

Sometimes the only way to get through is to talk to someone in their own language. :D

Anyway the point is valid, even if you don't like it being made.
Sharia law works in many foreign countries.
Much of it is brutal and distasteful, just like these cops and their brand of justice.
Oh and both are contrary to the laws of this land. 8)

If there is a difference, please explain it :-"

Now, getting back to grandad's original post.

Grandad, your post shows a lack of faith in British justice. If you had faith in the system, there would be no dilema.
Not that I blame you, I doubt if I'd report it either.
