For a year and a half my radio was knackered - The light would not go on, it had (1 channel ) on a.m and a few on fm ! The amount of time that they were in the cab it was not worth changing it. It was take it or leave it, as most wanted it blasting and to mess around looking for whatever channel that was not on.......In this case "If it is broke - don't fix it"- I had my news and MY music :D

Before I got my new car with a DAB fitted I was stuck with either the local stations playing the same 5 songs on repeat or the national stations trying to be 'hip' and playing nothing but r&b, grime, garage. Come the night they presumed we all want to listen to romantic slowies, there is just nothing lively on.

Since getting DAB theres more selection and variety but the one I've stuck with is Absolute80s, nothing but tunes from the 80's and no annoying presenters waffling on about what they've had for breakfast, and very few advertisements. All the other drivers with DAB seem to listen to Absolute80s as well.

Surprising thing is all the teenagers who get in know all the songs and artistes as well and agree modern music is pants !
