Taxi Driver Online

Just had one of those phone calls that makes you feel awful from a driver that has been working with 1,3,5 sweetie shop cabs.

basically he drives a Huntingdon plated car working PH off their board but barely speaks English and I suspect was one of the drivers clobbered the other weekend. He was BEGGING me for a job even though I tried explaining to him that i have enough drivers and don't need more because i don't dilute earnings by overcrowding the board. He even offered to pay a higher board rent than my existing drivers out of desperation . It always makes me feel awful having to be cruel like that but I have always operated with enough drivers for our workload not too many but it does make you feel very uncomfortable on the phone and afterwards

Good decisions that make you feel bad could be tempered by offering to put them on a waiting list - a guaranteed way of making you feel a bit better.
