Hi,

I am taking my knowledge training this week and have been researching the right vehicle to buy. I have shortlisted the following models and would be interested to hear your comments on them and which one you would recommend for PH. I am targeting a high motorway mileage salesman's type car with FSH, under £5k and less than 3-4 years old.

Skoda Octavia 1.9 tdi
Ford Mondeo 1.9 tdci
VW Passat 1.9 tdi or VW Bora (is there much difference?)
Peugeot 406

Cheers!!

Simon

I think the Octavia (old type) is a bit small to do loads of motorway work, so I would go for the Mondeo or the Puegeot.

I think there are more likely to be more ex rep Mondeo's than anything else.

Theres something your crew could do with learning Ollie.

. . . but that will always seperate the true London Cabbie from their plastic cousins in the 'taxee' trade.
