North Korea and Iran have IBM nuclear weapons and we are worried about fecking foxes?
It's the way of the cushy west, our snowflake generation has nothing to really concern itself about, its cosseted from cradle to grave by an ever more controlling, interferring and manipulating government who realise that they can have your subservience through taking away all the challenges, risks and dangers of life that the people of wider world has to face daily, we are told Diesel cars, Smoking, Eating the wrong foods, Fox hunting, climbing trees, corporal punishment in schools or at home, being sexist, being intolerant to all races or religion, wolf whistling, and a million other things are all bad and should not be tolerated for fear of upsetting anyone of any sex of any religion of any political belief.
Whilst the rest of the world grows tougher through a constant fight for survival we grow weaker and more emasculated by the day as our freedoms to do anything that may upset another are eroded by an ever more intolerant PC group of Snowflake MPs from all parties.
No more can kids play with Sheath knives, pen knives, Airguns, catapults, play with Bangers, Climb trees, play in the street, go swimming in the local burn...no, they would have them all cocooned and encourage them all to grow up to be model citizens with no individual thoughts on anything, soon there will be no fun left in being a child, no adventure, no risk, no exploring natures wilder side.
As the Worlds Crazies give their kids AK 47 and show them how to use them we give ours a sterile riskless existence that only serves to make the next generation even more risk averse and oppressed.
If people do not like something then do not do it but do not expect others to do likewise just because it's not your thing.
Tolerance now is not what tolerance was 50 years ago, Tolerance these days involves more intolerance than actual tolerance, unless you toe the line of PC liberal brand of modern tolerance you are deemed to be a bad human being.
I don't go fox hunting but I won't stop those who want too, that goes for so many other things as well...we should live and let live provided it's not a threat to human life or to our British core values.
A generally good post encapsulated by the last 14 words - What do you denote as a "British Core Value"?
I would not have thought that cruelty was any longer part of the British make up/British core value. 100 + years ago, we were a very cruel nation, Imo that image/way of life is no longer with us.
