Emergency services were called to the incident, at the junction of Smithdown Road and Nicander Road, Wavertree, at about 9pm. It involved a collision between a BMW motorbike and a Ford Focus private hire taxi.
There was a major police presence in the area as officers investigated and there was a road closure in place in Smithdown Road, at the junction with Greenbank Road.
