Been hear before and it doesn't happen. Now you can believe that, or you can not believe that, frankly I don't give a toss.

I suspect someone has tried to tout you to another site, but the forum's software edits out that website.

If you e-mail me at info@taxi-driver.co.uk then I will gladly pass on the web address of the liars site.

Alex

The software has an edit function that can be used to delete naughty words and the like.

Next time you make a post on the board try using the f-word and when the post appears the word will be missing and it will say [edited by admin]

It does it automatically and doesn't mean we can see the PMs. If you want to look at the technical side have a look at the user guide for the board:

http://www.phpbb.com/support/guide/#section3_2_5

It's mainly naugthy words that are edited but it also includes the name of a website that has been persistently libelling us. The advice was that if we eventually take legal action against them then if we haven't done anything about it then that would work against us, so we have to try to block it out - it's called 'mitigation of damages', I believe.

Well if you could start off by explaining which law or laws you're on about then it might help :-|

Of course, you'd need a bit more than a dictionary-level knowledge of defamation law to understand this :D
