Compared to other areas that's not a bad return i.e. only one out of 39 taken off the road.

But the eyesite issue is interesting, and I suspect would be mirrored all over the country. :shock:

Of the four taxis that were given immediate prohibitions by VOSA, three had the faults immediately rectified and were allowed to drive their vehicles away.

What exactly is an immediate prohibition?

It sounds pretty dramatic, but if the faults were immediately rectified and they drove away then it must have just been blown bulbs or summat. :?

Looks like they were targetting private cars as well, so some of the faults listed may not be attributable to taxis, but it's hard to tell from the story.
