Spent 15 years careful driving to get my insurance NCB better and private car insurers wont accept the built up NCB...

scammers

only doing 2000 miles a year too

The broker I use transfers NCB from taxi to private, but clearly not the other way.

Suprised that yours doesn't.

This has been an issue for an ex driver here. The insurer wanted so much for her as a normal car driver after finishing taxi driving that it worked out cheaper for her to keep the car as a taxi, well that is what she told everyone.

basic taxi premium was £950 with 7 years NCB

private car £590 no NCB
