Starmer can FO if he thinks he can do that we all have paid into the system so we should be entitled to get our pensions

he can tax us on them but it would be a huge change to take away that guaranteed right to a pension.

That said I think starmer has a pathological hatred of pensioners because he seems to think they are the only people who should pay tax

had mine 2 years ago, paid every 4 weeks so in 1 month of each year theres TWO payments...

bet Starmer will scotch that

I think HMRC/HMG should let over women over 60 take the state pension at a discounted rate, 5% less per every year early, women raise families, keep the house, feed everyone and still work

I got the letter today telling me how much I will get. One of the first thing it said was that I may not get as much as I expected because I was contracted out for several years. I have already had all of that money and used it to buy a flat as an investment.
So I was expecting my pension to be reduced but apparently not. I will get the full pension so happy days.

your income from the flat will be taxed at 20% or 40%

your kids will pay inheritance tax on it when you peg itor it will have to be sold to pay for your care home

How much rent do you think that I get from the flat? it will only be at 20% But the income from the flat after tax will still exceed what I would get from the capital if I used it to buy an annuity. As for inheritance tax, Well if i didn't have the flat then they would not have it to sell so even after inheritance tax they will get more than they otherwise would have got.

I know a "retired" ex-staff nurse

a few years ago he got the chance to withdraw all his personal pension so he tool the lot and bought a house to let out, he now owns 6 houses, his, his mums and 4 out on rent, he has his state pension and does bank/agency work as a nurse (which, he says, carries no responsibilty or "bad" jobs, hes often on the tea trolley) in the nurses strikes he did cover thru an agency on £56/hr....

last night he was at a hospital, place was almost deserted, Starmer lies me thinks

First time was when it was first aired in 1974.

50 years ago. FFS.

If you didn't remember the end this time round, you are heading towards old age...

When you are really old, you will be of the opinion it's a brand new show you have never heard of before...
