as a general rule the price used to depend on distance from refinery to the outlet but I wonder is Josefblogs is getting petroineos refined fuel (don't think it's been shut down yet) and sussex is getting imported fuel from holland. Once grangemouth goes it will be Norweigian imports up in Scotland probably

I've recently got a Shell diesel card in addition to my Key Fuels card. this week's prices are Key Fuels 122.98 per litre plus VAT,(£1.46) Shell 113.86 a litre plus VAT.(£1.39)

Considering my local M20 service area is run by Shell they have a pump price of £1.79 a litre including VAT. 40p. a litre dearer than the card price..

It is interesting that ASDA is now the dearest supermarket for diesel/petrol when once they were the cheapest.

What changed was the new owners, who borrowed multi-billions from private equity markets.

8p??? I think that is wishful thinking. I think 10p which will also mean an extra 2p VAT.

we'll see but I think even this government might be wary of jumping prices by 10p a litre as that will have a massive impact on inflation especially food price inflation
