Hi all ... Just after some advice if thats possible.
Im new to this game, just about to take the knowledge in 2 weeks.

Im interested in becoming a ph driver , and need some info.
To start of im going to use the companys car etc ...
am i best of getting a settle just for days ?
Or shall i get a long collar ?
Ive been quoted 240 for the long collar and 130 for the days

If i just worked the days , would i have to hand the car back at the end of the day, or do i keep it ?

cheers :D

I'd imagine you'd have to hand it in for the night driver, but this is not always the case. The price's your quoting would get you the car 24/7 in my area. Ask the Company what the score is.
It's always better to get your own car, or approach another driver (who's got his own car) and see if you can split the rental and shifts on his car.
£270 would get you a brand new Octavia 24/7 all in, including insurance etc.
We dont have day/night settles anymore, just a seperate deal for weekends only.

Usually the first few weeks you will be working like a so and so, thus you should be ok whatever rate they charge.

But in the long run get your own motor. You can get a new car fully insured for around £100 a week.

And after four year the motor is yours.
