Another PH office opening close to a proposed new Rank!
Harry's cars are hoping to open a PH Office within sight of a proposed new rank outside the Rock Cafe. (it'll take a few mirrors to vew Bridge St from there!!)

The big question is, which half of the DIVIDED Hac drivers will complain this time i wonder?

Divided i hear you ask?
Yes well it seems that not all Hackney drivers are happy about being represented by WTDA.
Almost half want to breakaway and discuss they're future in a more reasonable way than staging lightening strikes which costs them valued customers, and going in council meetings shouting the odd's.

If any Hackney drivers are fed up with the politics within the ranks and just want to earn a decent wage working for a living, then 444444 is the number to ring!

Hi mac, i wasn't refering to one of ABBA's Hac's. It was one of the independent drivers as far as i know.
Notice you didnt comment on the new office?
Could it be that it's more personal to Phil Bailey rather than ABBA, and you have no axe to grind with Harry?

Guarantee no feeding, but would you get the trust of the punters by giving a guarantee that you'll all charge the same price i wonder? i dont think so as long as 1/2 of em drive with their roofsigns on while hired.

BTW, what happens if theres only 4 drivers out during the dead hours and they all refuse a certain job? where does it go then? Or do you just lose that customer to PH in the future.
What happens when the booking comes through, can you see the jobs location before you accept it?
If you can, whats going to happen when drivers see the job, refuses it, then go and do it anyway so they can keep 1st for the next one coming along?
What about records? are they kept so the LO/Punters/Police can view them in case of a dispute?

And do PH firms never accept a booking and then drop the job out of the system when they are overloaded due to traffic jams, say? And when the punter phones to complain, are told their cab has been and gone, could not find their fare?

Hackney Carriages are not required to record keep in the same manner as PH are for LO/Punters/ Police. The advance booking through Taxi-call is made directly with a driver, not an agent, acting on their behalf.

Two-bob firms perhaps, but it's a lot easier for firms to say the car will be 30 mins and keep to it, than say 5 mins and lie.
