To every London driver who thought saving a grand by buying a non air conditioned Taxi was a good idea at the time.

Must be nice working in 32 degrees. 8)

It's weeks like this that I do well by switching to afternoons.

There must be an argument that says, under health and safety regs, councils shouldn't license a car without air con. :?

Mine's on all year round; It keeps the windows clear in winter.

I can't work without it, an absolute necessity these days for my comfort and that of my passengers, IMHO.

Until some goon gets in and winds the windows down, I've had one today who got in and said it's warm and proceeds to wind the window down. "PUT IT UP YOU CLOT IT'S COOL IN HERE" punter, "oh aye it's nice and cool isn't it"?

It doesn't do too much damage.

About a fiver a day.

The extra business takes care of that, the tube was hovering around 36 C today.

Nice. 8)

Some punters request air-con when they book, as for the ranks I suppose they just smell the driver.
