Well ??? In your own words, please express your ideal working conditions and all proposals that would ensure this !

A waiting job or a flagger at every moment available, ppl who greet you like an old friend and tip you at least 50% of the fare, no chavs and drunks who are happy drunks who make you smile and laugh, the taxman saying please don't bother paying this year or any other, the fact you got yourself a job off your own back is good enough, car dealer who allows generous PX and views a well looked after car as just that, 120k tyres and brakes life and ever lasting clutches, free kebab for night shift, and the missus doing impersonations of a con rod when you get home saying things like give it to me baby, uh ha uh ha give it to me baby, and dishing up a full english in the morning.

Outlaw all PH vehicles & chauffer vehicles. Give all drivers taxis instead. Outlaw WAV's. Make all taxis Black in colour and any make or model. All taxis must be vosa registered, no council plates. The whole country on the same rate per mile. Take off all those empty polluting old buses off the road.

That sounds like a plan, bring in regional licensing offices and take the licensing away from the goons at the local councils.

Scrap the 150 year out of date licencing laws and rewrite them in a modern context
force councils to do a survey of exactly how many wavs they require in an area instead of everyone having to buy one

Between the Volunteer driving groups that are springing up all over and the mobility scheme where any one with more than a bunion or a wheeze gets a new car for free and that any tom dick or harry can drive for them...is there really anyone with a disabilty left that merits a WAV that might use a Taxi??

Why not scrap mobility and the volunteers...then having a WAV just might pay..
