me, foolhardy? definitely, stoopid?, no doubt, desperate? like most of us, greedy? no chance. had xmas day off, worked since on iced over slush,for no extra than normal. even with less cars on road. but wouldn't have it any other way. for the first time in ages I felt busy, no richer, but it felt like old times. it's a start. (of what I've no idea).

Why only the norm fares??? its fare and a half here, £3.00 start and £0.15 a click, the 6 seaters start at £4.50 and £0.25 a click or 107 meters
That runs from 6pm on the 24th to 6 Am on the 27th, then from 6pm on the 31st through to 6 AM on the 3rd, the 2nd being a public holl up here

Perish the thought whatever made you think that I was snowed out and had to stay down the Wirral and couldn't always get to a computer otherwise I would have kept you company Consequently I decided to be a greedy git and worked rather more than usual getting fare an a half when we had a light dusting of snow

Steve a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you and all that use the forum. I have been popping in and perusing, but as you know I am a man of few words and only speak when I have something very very very important to say.

As for grabbing I no longer have to, so I have been off since 6.00 am Sunday the 20th and will not be back until Friday the 8th. It is my way of helping out my fellow cabbies and their families by leaving more out for them.

However in the New Year I will go back to help them out, as I do not feel that it is right that they have to do it all.........Tsh the things that I do for people.

Sorry, I meant I felt like I got no more than normal. We go fare and half from 9pm to 6am on Xmas eve and Xmas Day. Fare and quarter 9am to 6pm Xmas Day and Boxing Day. It was the overall figure I was alluding to. For the hours I worked I didn't feel 25-50% better off. I'm putting it down to the weather, and it being a weekend anyway.

Fare and half you should be on double fare then surely. We go double fare from 6pm 24th til 6am on 27th and the same at new year from 6pm 31st until 6am 2nd

At £5.30 for the first mile, then £2.30 for every other mile toots I dont think we do badly

Too busy with work, family feuds, ex outlaws going into hospital and trying to keep the peace in what turned out to be a madhouse on Christmas Day!

SHMBO nearly set fire to herself trying to extinguish the paper hats from the crackers that caught alight on the candles around the table, one of the cats came in with half of next doors turkey and was very proud of himself, and a drunk lent against my fence and fell into the front garden!

Just a normal day really!

Worked today. A sort of mistake! Not enough cars out. Having made my fortune, they wouldn't let me go home!!!!!!

They did that to me on Sunday night and when I finally left at 4:30am they moaned. Most people are glad to see the back of me
