Just trying to make a convo,

Half term ain't been too bad, but the last year hasn't been great.

However there's always next year, and the year after etc etc.

Then why bother starting at 6pm? Let someone else have the £25 for the first six hours and just work the time when you know it will be busy.
That is what I do. It gives me far more time to come on here.

I am new (Dec 2010) and part time only. I drive PH in a susposedly propsperous town. I usually drive from 7pm ish til 2/3am Friday nights and 6am ish Sunday morns til about 1pm then maybe a bit in the evening too.

Last Friday was bad, I had 4 jobs and went home a 1.30am. One gap of 2 hours. I didn't work last Sunday as away for w/e. Previous Sunday morns have been quite good and i like doing them. People going home from parties and nurses etc from the hospital first thing sometimes. Then there's the old ladies going to and from church and finally the old soldiers to and from the Legion clubs etc. There are some smart restaurants in some of the "suburban" areas and I do get some good jobs from them around 11pm.

I do hope this Friday is better.

ino but its ok normally its just about luck sometimes but we have a system that 1 week friday an 1 week saturday the 1st 25 cabs only can pik up from ranks as normally on weekends people have to wait on ranks for a cab an when its our radio day it is very busy,
But saturday was ok after as I totaled 123pound but the mornings are very quiet u work 8-4 you'll only make about 70-80pound.

Our Friday nights are on there backsides. They are more like weekday nights except it gets a little bit busy from 11:30pm.

However Thursdays night can be very good being busy from about 6:30 till 8 and then kicking off again at about 11:00. Sometimes it's busy till about 1 but generally it dies about midnight.

Saturdays are alright at the minute but once the weather improves people will start to walk and they will go quiet till later on.

Through the week, days are generally better than the nights, but they can be very quiet as well.

This Friday was much better I guess being due to pay day. Sunday morning was good and I think I can call myself "Heavenly Express" or Salvation Cab noting the number of church runs. No sure what is worse, listening to slurring drunks or being preached to.

Work nights in London and do well Wed - Sun's.

Work days from Mon - Fri you'll probably spend half the day on ranks and stuck in traffic.

I'll never understand why some folks can't work it out.
