The point of this is what exactly? I won't be working Friday or Monday but I will however be getting paid for it, now I know what I'd rather be doing

toots, my point is that way too many (mainly PH) seem intent on working for peanuts and always quote the same old 90p/£1 per mile that they did 2 years ago even for bank holidays

and its £19/hr, my mistake

A large number of our regular customers will be paying TARIFF 1 why because the choice is simple tariff 1 we have a booking tariff 2 a cancelation

at least if we charge tariff 1 we have some work and most of the competition is only charging tariff 1

ps PH don't exist round here it's 100 % hackney but greed don't pay work for a reasonable amount people will use you if not they'll use the competition and there is a hell of a lot of it

So if you were to charge T2 all day Friday and Monday do you think all your customers will decide to either walk or stay at home all because you're charging a little more because it's a bank holiday.

I take it you don't charge more for Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day as after all they are basically another day of the week.

T2 starts at 10 PM daily til 6 AM and thats only plus 25%, the only time we get more is Christmas and New year
Yes folk would walk rather than pay all because its a bank hol
We did try a few years back for 2 or 3 years but folk wont pay

We tried charging T2 a couple of years ago our cars sat on the rank all day the competition were flying around like the proverbial and when our drivers compared takings with the competition guess who'd earned the most money !!!!

Never again I'd sooner do £70 to £80 on T1 than £30 on T2 and so would my drivers because at the end of the day its about paying the bills we'll probably do T2 off the rank and at night but thats all
