That's not Britain, that is just the work of human traders, that can and does happen all over, especially in the dark areas of Eastern Europe,Africa ans South America.

My understanding is that most of these were British and are described as "vulnerable" i.e. low IQ or drink/drug problems making them exploitable and at least 9 of them have refused to cooperate with the police investigation !!!!

Its unbelievable that the Police have known or suspected this since 2008 and done nothing until now.

some have declined to co-operate with the cops but they could be the ones with disabilities or have been brain-washed by abuse and are scared

It will be called "collecting evidence" A lot of big police operations against organised crime takes a couple of years before any arrests are made. The last thing that the police want is a case being thrown out through lack of evidence.
It's the same with drugs. Most of us would like to see the small drug dealers taken off the street immediatly but these foot soldiers are easy to replace so the police keep an eye on known small time dealers and build up a list of their contacts so that they can take out a much bigger network all in one go.

Errr, did I miss something here?

You replied in the manner that drugs are illegal simply because the government doesn't get a slice of the action?

Class A & B drugs are used in some medicines that are used by the NHS, but they are used to provide pain relief, they are also regulated and checked to make sure some cheapo dealer hasn't cut it with rat poison etc, the dealers customer just seeks to get out of reality for a while,if he has no money the dealer then looks to take advantage of that situation, the NHS doesn't, it uses the product to provide care for those in pain, please don't try to justify those that get kids hooked up on purpose so they can make easy money, they are human traders plain and simple.
