Not according to this story the liquidators are merely a tool for moving the club on and selling it they state that the team will continue it's only the next step on from administration

If you have 3-4 days to spare, copious amounts of alcohol at hand, a big bucket/catheter you may wish to peruse this gargantuan thread of tantrums and tears about all things Rankers. Be aware there will be laughs as well as tears. Outrage as well as nods of agreement. Disbelief at some of the more extreme thoughts therein. But at the end you will still be as confused as you started.

Enter if you dare...............

Didn't the story also say that the SPL will have to vote them back in?

They will have a vote. There needs to be an 8-4 majority for or against the application. Rankers (unless in full liquidation) have a vote. The vote, IMHO, is not about allowing a newco entry, it's about sporting integrity. Will the Chairmen of the other clubs see beyond the gate money and say NO?

Not a cat in Hells chance; they'll allow rangers back in on the basis of a greater share of tv rights.

some sort of deal will be done although i think really they should have to start at the bottom and work their way up again. As for taking away all their trophies etc. sorry but that is ridiculous to punish the fans for the misdemeaners of the one recent owner

No.
Football is about money, not integrity.
Fans are merely sheep to be shorn.

Spot on CC. The huns will be back, having cheated the exchequer and plenty of others out of millions.
This will set a dangerous precedent for others to follow. And not just north of the border.

When my club, (insofar that I support them) Airdrie were liquidated, we applied to join the SFL DIV3 via the vacancy our demise created. One of the reasons we were rejected was the chairmen were "warned" about setting a precedent by their respective bank managers. Is it too much to hope that 10 years on the banks would see things the same way?

We returned to the league through a different, some say dirty, route, but that's for another day.
