It died round here about half two, up until then it was banging right from the off.

Park in front of the PH and poach their fares.

Why Do You Keep Using Upper Case For The First Letter Of Each Word?

The Town Is Always Busy Most SaturdaY Nights But We Dont Get Much Of The Trade As Punters Know PH Is Cheaper And Just Walk UpTo Them,
Sometimes I Just Think If The PH Wasnt There Parked Up Right Next To The Ranks Punters Will Use Us Instead Of Taking The Un-Booked PH As Always Youll Be Ranked Up And Punters Will Always Spot The PH Hanging About In The Town Centre And Just Approach Them Or The PH Will Approach TheM And Offer Cheap Ride E.g £3 And Punter Would Just Get In,
If Only Anythink We Could Do To Stop The PH Just Hanging About Touting For Business As Its Killing Our Legal Trade To These Unlicenced Illegal Private Hires.

Why not try paying someone a few bob to wear a high viz jacket and carry a clipboard around where the private hire are parked up. You could always have the words "taxi enforcement" put on the back of the jacket. The PH probably wouldn't know that it wasn't the council and the council are unlikely to be out to do anything about it.

Some people do, it's doesn't bother me. Suck a Werthers original and put your slippers on and chillax. :D

We had the local Rugby Club annual BBQ last night, it's a massive affair with over 4,000 people attending the gig. When it kicks out at 11/12 it dies of death. Add on the Bank Holiday when people will be saving themselves for today it was a vvank night after 2am.

What Can We Do?
Say To Them Not Wait Around Town As There Excuse Is Always 'Waiting For A Booking Mate' When Clearly There Waiting For Out Customers.
If There Was Such Rule Or Action We Could Take To Not Allow PH To Come Into Town Centre Or Wait Around Without A Booking As Majority Of PH Have Pda System And The Job Is Written On There So If They Have A Job They Can Come Into The Town Centre If Not They Cant Come Into Town,
Or Any Kind Of Thing That Dosent Make Them Just Wait Around As Its Clearly Illegal Touting If PH Is Parked Up Without Booking.
Such System As Return To Base After Every Job Or If You Get Another Job Continue On The Next Job But No Waiting Around Town.

To have any influence needs an on-side Licencing team. More often than not their bias is always towards the PH trade...or they are just too bloody lazy to be asked to do anything about this.

Maybe the punters were thinking do we really want to be taken home in a cab driven by a driver that's been out for 18 hours.

Just a thought.

That Was Just A One Off I Normally Do A 7-5pm And Night Driver Does A 5-2 3am. Thats A Average Hackney Shift Only The Independant Hackneys Would Do A Full 12Hours Shift.
But As For PH I Know Guys Who Work 12-14Hours During The Week And 24Hours On Friday And Rest For Few Hours Then Work Till Sunday Morning 6am And Thats A Majority.
There Charging These Stupid Low Fares With Such High Maintenance, And Running Around Killing Them Selves Just To Make Ends Meet And Not Even Thinking About Putting Fares Up.
E.g. If Fare Is £1 And Driver Is Doing 100 Jobs A Day Thats £100 But If Fare Is Put Up To £2 Youll Loose A Few Customers But Instead Of Doing 100 Jobs To Make £100 Youll Be Doing Less Miles For The Same Money And Its Worth It.
