Overheard three Neanderthals walking past the rank today.

"Like yeah, man, I. Never use these taxis, cos they like, charge by the mile"

Just couldn't think of a witty retort. Bust is there another way of calculating a taxi fare?

(Other than make it up PH stylie)!!!

One said to me over Christmas, "you lot charge treble fare don't you?" My reply was "no it's only a tariff." It turns out I was cheaper than their private hire company who said we were charging treble fare.

Probably near the remains of BL's Longbridge factory....? as in "Rubery Owen", didnt you ever have Rostyle wheels on a car in the 70's?

At sometime RO morphed into RoR (Rubery Owen Rockwell Ltd) manufacturer of all things HGV and based at Llay in Wrexham, not been there for 20 years though

I am charging by the hour now, £20/hr daytime, £40/hr nights

not sure about taxi jobs though.... :wink:
