Since I post on here lately. I may as well get your views on this.

My better half was working yesterday. Christmas eve.

Finished at 5pm and was telling me she was not looking forward to getting the bus. I was with my 9 month old soldier and was unable to get her. So I explained that she should get a taxi.

Well she pre booked one. From somewhere I won't name as that's not my type of thing. But 17:15 and the driver was not there. She rang up the company and was told the driver was lost. So she told them where it was.

He arrived 20 min late and did not apologise. No problem.

He then proceeded to drive the whole way to our house whilst either on the phone. At his ear with one hand. And also texting away whilst driving.

This [edited by admin] charged her £13.50. She did not tell me until today.

If I ring up and complain. They will obviously tell the driver who complained and if he comes round knocking. Well I am not backing out of a confrontation. But I also don't want random tyre slashes during the night, if you know what I mean.

What do?

If you want to complain you can go to the licensing department.

See. My issue here is not that he was texting and driving whilst on the phone.

After all. She arrived home in one piece.

But what about the kid or young lass who gets in next time? Will they be so lucky?

He had a South Tyneside plate. Driving in Newcastle City. Obviously how he got lost in the first place. I have no clue as to why they allow South Tyneside to operate over here without doing the local knowledge test.

Listen, have a word with the guy yourself or just chalk it up to experience. If your wife had a problem with this driver using his phone then she should have said something at the time, instead of coming back to you with this tittle-tattle. #-o #-o #-o

Personally, every time a women tells me a story , I think, I'll wait until the movie comes out... #-o

Will the driver's behaviour improve if folks don't complain?

Wanna be a hack.

I don't give two hoots if he gets lost. Lost doesn't kill.

If my office gives me a job. I will take it. But working full time in an area i have no clue about. Nope. Would not work in the job.

E,g. If a job with tripple pay in South Tyneside was offered to me. I have no clue about the area so would refuse the position.

Sussex. Yup. Your right. I am going to take it further.

I think the above is bullshi* and comes from a woman with a hyperactive imagination. #-o Who the fu*k sits in a taxi with the driver talking and texting on the phone for the entirety of the journey and says nothing?

Oh and this the partner of a taxi driver with a 9 month old child in the house. :-k :---)
