Yes, ive been sacked.

Got a phone call today from my boss and he sacked me, he did'nt even have the courage to tell me face to face.
I had a big row with a driver sat night and sent the driver home. The driver moaned to the boss and the boss said that a few drivers were complaining about me and that I had to go.
I'm going to crack on with the knowledge, and try and post on here whenever I can.

Ive never been sacked before, it's a weird feeling.
Ohh well, life goes on.

It might be a blessing in the end, but surely there must be loads of jobs for a trained operator in London. :?

And for the record some snakey **nt sacked me once. 8-[

As you say Rambo, life goes on. being sacked could be a good thing. What was your work, you learning your knowledge at the same time?

You can only be sacked by those you work for, and the chances of me working for you are less than none.

I hope your not unemployed for long Rambo, there must be a shortage of good operators in and around London.

Give Dial a Cab a ring http://www.dialacab.co.uk/default.asp?page=ISCO

The fact that you left a minicab firm because of their bad behaviour will be as good a CV as you will need.

The rumor is that a few new drivers have said that i'm not very helpful. I was trying to give a new driver a job last week, but because his english is so bad he could not understand me, when he got back to the office he said that MY english was not very good and that he could not understand me!, cheeky git!. Well I went mad at him and he did'nt like it.

Anyone who can't listen to both sides of a story is ...a very poor boss/excuse for a human being...so you don't want to work for him anyway.

However if you have worked for him for 2 years or more you may be due compensation for wrongful dismissal

I had that situation just after new year with a driver rowing with my board operator but I didn't sack anyone over it i talked to BOTH parties and tried to resolve the differences ! a week alter it happened all over again so I ended up letting the driver go because it takes a loooong time to train a board operator up to a good level of competency and i'd had customer complaints about the driver but NO CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS about the board operator.

At the end of the day it has to be what is best for everybody i.e. the customers and the drivers and sacking should always be a last resort once other means of dealing with the problem have been exhausted !
