If anyone needs to know the recipe of those behind TDO then here are the ingredients.

JD is controversial

Dusty is diplomatic

And Alex is the conduit between the two.

Somewhere in between lies the success of this website.

Regards

JD

Change the word from deregulation to de-limitation and that will do me.

Just for the record Mr 187ums how many drivers have you helped keep their licenses, how many councils have you helped mend their illegal ways and how many drivers have you helped into the trade? :?

But best of all, how many non taxi plate-holders have you helped become taxi plate-holders? \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Well tell us.

I hear all the time that the world will end if a council de-limits, yet despite 73% of councils not restricting the world is still carrying on.

Any trade that needs protecting, such as yours, is weak and useless.

I think part of the success of TDO is that it is run by taxi/PH drivers.

Which is why when someone from our trade comes on here everyone has a rough idea where they are coming from.

As opposed to a substandard taxi/PH forum run by non taxi/PH drivers who haven't got a f***ing clue, and who's sole purpose is to ponce on the taxi/PH trade.

Which is why someone who goes on that site asking for info re 'metered discounts' gets referred to case law on operator's licenses. [-X

Oh no here we go again.

First it was a solicitor from Manchester who specialises in Sport Injury, then it was the chap who wrote the Licensing Bible, then it was a bunch of chaps trying to earn money out of referring legal issues, and now it's run by PH ops.

Mr TC you really are thick.

Since you support a policy that has caused PH to expand at a vast rate in your own city, you should be pleased at the prospect.

Exactly Mr Gusmac.

What the thicko Mr TC hasn't worked out is the biggest supporters of taxi quotas come from PH radio circuits.

They want PH to remain PH.

No I'm telling it to you, am I right or wrong?

Do you think a PH firm wants 100/200/300 of his/her drivers to suddenly have the freedom to tell him/her where to stick their radios?

Does that only make sense in your mind? :?

But with single level licensing (as advocated by many including jasbar) a PH operator would retain the radio circuit and the cars unlikely to try their luck on the streets only. The majority of HC belong to a radio circuit of sorts, whether co-ops or privately owned.

The mobile phone is the real reason for the decline in the hail to hire market. The public expect to be able to phone for a "taxi" from inside a pub/restaurant etc, and find it outside when they want it.

As you are PH - why are you so favour of derestriction - you yourself stated " the biggest supporters of taxi quotas come from PH radio circuits" :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

TDO is not in the business of destroying livelihoods but no doubt your warped sense of reasoning is down to the number of councils that have removed restrictions in the last few years. I suppose when the other 90 or so councils remove restrictions you will continue to blame TDO? lol

Perhaps the T&G were a little premature and misguided to come out with the statement that "they sank the OFT Report"? I suppose they didn't take into account the fact that councils know best?
