Not quite sure why it came as a shock?, you don't remember the offences?

Agreed. If you committed these offences then it should hardly come as a shock. :?

As you say your last conviction was 1985 thats 23 years ago, I think any council would have to consider your character since then, and as you say you have been badged twice since there should be no problem

Provided you disclosed these convictions in your previous applications.

Maybe maybe not.

You might be asked to go before the council, and if that's the case then just tell them what you have been doing in the last 23 years.

Most councils have their own policy re: time between conviction and license, and as you have been licensed before without any trouble then you should be fine.

Anyway bang in the application and see what happens.

well obviously I hadnt forgotten getting convicted but it was one of those cases where charges were handy to be added willy nilly (no insurance whilst driving a car which was stolen - even though i didnt know it was stolen!), it was a good chance to increase a clear up rate i think. 1 charge of criminal damage was my "mate" broke a car mirror after i had dropped him off and he then decided to steal a car, unbeknown to me, and i got done for it too!

(D.C.i. Gene Hunt wasnt pure fiction.....)

i remember i had to go before a council forum/board the first time i got a badge in 1990, but not in 96.

Deaths?

On 11 May 1981 Bob Marley died from cancer at the age of 36. Bob was reggae's greatest icon and his death proved a huge loss both to the music industry and his millions of fans worldwide.

On 5 June 1981 a medical journal reported a mysterious illness that had killed five young gay men in Los Angeles. It was the first mention of what later became known as Aids.
