My fuel card is down a bit next week. The pump price is still 146.9 at all the garages in our town.

Could it be that any drop in the price per barrel is being off set by the fall in the value of the pound?

when this is mentioned on TV (etc) its always pointed out that oil is traded everywhere in USD$ not local currency.....

so i dont know

I cant be arsed looking up the actual figures but I can tell you that yesterday I got $1.48 to the pound and about a month ago was $1.52.
Not a huge difference but a drop in the £'s value all the same.

That's the point. Oil is traded in USD but sold to us in GBP. Currency fluctuations will have an effect on forecourt price.

the pounds down against the dollar but that helps our exports (makes em cheaper)

oiil is but one aspect

the USA is now regaining jobs lost to China, Chinese wages are rising, USA wages are not and shipping costs have risen....

all £1.45.9 for diesel except 24hr BP which is still £1.48.9 I still can't understand why some of my drivers fuel up there in the day :?:

More MPG than the Morrisons [edited by admin]. What people don't understand is putting cheap fuel in will get you less MPG.

Is that why bp are around 4p a litre more than shell here?

I reckon its because they're robbing barstewards
