Already have drivers operating more than one system.

Intention is that when trade builds up they will run TaxiZapp

Most do not consider £76 for four weeks availability is expensive.

It is cheaper than what most are currently paying

Not sure where you are based - if there are drivers in your area and they are logged in to work there is no reason why they wouldnt want to take your booking?

Like any new company it takes time to build up a stock of drivers and it takes time to promote to passsengers.

If you download the passenger app there is a view drivers on map feature - this is having some work on it as we did have a bug - but its good fun to watch the drivers!

Cab4me in the states and germany.

Different system - finds out where you are and then gives you a company to call

There are a number of those type of apps around.

TaxiZapp puts passenger and driver in direct touch with each other - cuts out the middle step - no company necessary!

whats the operating circle for alerts?

no-one wants every UK taxi request beeping into thier phones day and night, not even for £400 a month!

The driver sets the radius for which he wishes to receive alerts - it ranges from 0 - 99 - some drivers who work in more rural settings may set it more widely. It provides hails relating to your current location - not a central point - so if you set it for 5 miles it is a 5 mile radius from where you are.

You can log in and out of the app as you wish or you can set your status as unavailable if you dont wish to log out and then back in again.

Hi

To date we have not been actively marketing - we have advised those who had previously expressed an interest.

We had not been promoting it as we wished to spend some time initially ironing out the small problem and bugs we knew would show themselves and taking feedback from drivers.

Due to this word of mouth alone our download figures are growing 50 - 75% from the day before - we have currently had over 700 downloads (just over a week) This is across the UK but obviously we assume most of these are within the Belfast area.

The London drivers are not actively promoting to passengers as yet as they are still testing the app amongst themselves.
